The Westside Realtors League enters a new era in golf with an exciting season-long points competition called the WSRCup. This competition, spanning the entirety of our season, will dramatically enhance our league, offering excitement, engagement and a new competitive element as an individual player while still maintaining the core traditions of our league through two person team stroke match play.
The Entry Fee is $30 due to Richie K prior to the first round of the year.
This year we will be dropping the lowest two scores for year, so if you miss a week you are not out. However you must play a minimum of 12 weeks to qualify for the championship. There are 6 categories for point scoring; Weekly League Play, Special Events, Position Rounds, On Course Play, Match Up, and Boni.
Weekly and Position Rounds
They are calculated by net score for the week at your weekly handicap. The lowest net score will be awarded the top points for the week. If there is a tie, the highest point value available for all tied will be awarded. (IE 3 way tie for 5th, 110 points are awarded per tied individual at that level.)
Special Events
There are no special events this season that will count for WSRCup points. The Challenge day the week of the July fourth will be it’s own tournament.
Course Play
On the course play are points awarded for how well you performed on the course that week, this scoring will take in to account all Albatross, Eagles, Birdies, Pars, and Bogies. If a hole in one occurs you will be awarded the points for an Albatross and 10 points for every beverage purchased for league members in the 19th hole after the round.
Match Results
As this is a two person team league, points will be awarded to the individual winners of the each match. Additionally an award per point taken in the match will be given as well.
Boni Points
These are points awarded to individuals for spectacular achievement of luck in a match or event. These include Bootie Hole winner, closest to the pin winner, skins awarded, and 50/50 raffle winners.
Grand Championship
At the end of the year a Grand Champion will be crowned. In addition to the Grand Champion four additional places will be awarded; 2nd 3rd, 4th, and Dead Last.
